KWAVE DESK covers K-pop, K-drama and Korean culture news in English for fans outside Korea. This page explains how we choose, write and correct what we publish.
What we cover
Chart and sales results, comebacks and releases, tours and concerts, drama ratings and premieres, and Korean culture topics that readers abroad ask about.
How articles are made
Each article starts from published sources: Korean and international news outlets, official artist and agency announcements, and official chart or ratings data. We use AI tools to help gather and draft, and every article is checked against these guidelines through a combination of AI tools and human oversight before it is published.
Our standards
- Sources. Every article lists its sources at the bottom. Numbers such as sales, chart positions and ratings come from the chart or the report we cite, and we say which one.
- Facts versus interpretation. Reported facts are kept separate from our own reading of them. Our interpretation appears in sections labeled “Editor’s Take” or similar, and we do not present it as a statement from an artist, agency or chart.
- No invented material. We do not make up quotes, fan reactions or statistics. If a figure could not be confirmed, we leave it out or say it is unconfirmed.
- Sensitive topics. We avoid unverified rumors about dating, health, legal matters and private lives.
- Images. We do not republish press photography or agency images. Article header images are title graphics made for KWAVE DESK.
- Independence. Articles are not paid placements. Advertising, if shown on this site, does not influence what we write.
Updates and corrections
When new information changes a story, we add an “Update” section with the date instead of silently rewriting history. If you find an error, write to contact@kwavedesk.com with the article title and, if possible, a source. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly.
