EVAN’s ‘Death of Me’ Enters Two UK Top 20 Charts After Back-to-Back Music Show Wins

EVAN Adds Two UK Top-20 Entries

“Death of Me” debuted at No. 14 on the UK Official Singles Downloads Chart and No. 19 on the Official Singles Sales Chart, both dated September 17, 2026, according to the Official Charts Company. These are two separate sales-based rankings.

Neither chart is the UK’s main Official Singles Chart, which blends streaming with sales. A download or sales-chart entry measures purchases only, not streams. EVAN’s track landed on both purchase-based charts in the same week.

Two Music Show Wins in Two Days

EVAN won the September 16 episode of MBC M’s Show Champion with “Death of Me,” his second trophy as a soloist. Soompi reported that the win came against performances from VERIVERY, TNX and other acts on the same episode.

The Show Champion trophy arrived one day after his first solo win on The Show, giving “Death of Me” victories on back-to-back days, per allkpop. On the September 15 episode of The Show, EVAN scored a perfect 12,000 points by taking the maximum available score in every category, Beyond Post reported.

The Sales Behind the Momentum

K-POPIT reported that the album sold 461,488 copies on its first day. Total sales reached 530,929 copies for the week of September 7 through 13. The title track’s entry on both UK sales-based charts came from the same sales push.

CBC Globe reported that the album entered iTunes Top Albums charts in 34 countries and regions and reached No. 1 in 11 of them. The music video for “Death of Me” climbed to No. 4 on YouTube’s global Daily Top Music Videos ranking.

Update: Billboard Debut and Promotion Wrap-Up (October 15)

  • DEATH OF ME debuted at No. 49 on the Billboard 200 (chart dated October 3). It ranked No. 2 on World Albums and No. 7 on Top Album Sales, and EVAN placed No. 1 on Emerging Artists and No. 51 on the Artist 100, Sports Kyunghyang reported on September 30.
  • The album passed 500,000 copies on Hanteo within three days of release, and the “Death of Me” music video passed 10 million views in three days, per Sports Kyunghyang on October 5.
  • EVAN wrapped up promotions on October 4 with Inkigayo and Open Concert. His listed appearances include NBA Fan Day in Macao (October 10), K-LIVE FESTIVAL BAND: AGE in Bangkok (October 17) and NOL FESTIVAL in Korea (October 18).

Editor’s Take

The chart pattern points to a purchase-led run: No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales against No. 49 on the full Billboard 200, alongside the two UK purchase-based charts above. That is our reading of the numbers, not a statement from Billboard.

The Emerging Artists No. 1 is the more useful sign for a soloist’s first EP, since that chart is aimed at newer acts. The open question for his next release is whether streaming can catch up with the sales.
