hrtz.wav Passes 60,000 First-Week Sales as MOMENTUM Jumps 129%

hrtz.wav Crosses 60,000 First-Week Sales

hrtz.wav’s second mini album, ‘The Second Wave : MOMENTUM,’ sold more than 60,000 copies between September 9 and September 15, 2026. The figure comes from Hanteo Chart, which tracks physical album sales in South Korea. That first-week total is 129% higher than the band’s April debut album, ‘The First Wave.’

The comparison uses each album’s first tracking week after release. hrtz.wav debuted in April 2026, so the gap between the two releases is about five months. The 129% increase applies only to first-week Hanteo sales, not lifetime totals.

Streaming Growth Extends Beyond Physical Albums

Streaming numbers grew alongside physical sales. In the first six days after release, hrtz.wav’s cumulative Spotify Korea listeners rose 151.4% compared with the same six-day period after the debut album came out. Streams on Spotify Korea rose 51.9% over the same comparison window.

Video consumption also increased. The YouTube Music Art Track for ‘ALIVE’ recorded 68.3% more views in its first six days than the band’s previous title track release earned in its equivalent period.

Where ALIVE Ranked

‘ALIVE’ reached No. 34 on YouTube Music’s Trending Music Videos chart. On Instagram Reels, the track’s audio placed No. 11 on the platform’s trending audio chart. Both rankings are based on data reported by Sports Kyunghyang on September 17, 2026.

Why the Sungchan Collaboration Matters

‘ALIVE’ features RIIZE member Sungchan. The song combines a groovy mid-tempo rhythm with retro synth sounds, according to Yonhap News Agency. Sungchan’s participation gives the track a direct discovery path to RIIZE’s international fanbase, a group that did not previously follow hrtz.wav’s releases.

The feature does not change the songwriting credits on the rest of the album. It applies specifically to the title track and its promotional rollout.

What Is on The Second Wave : MOMENTUM

The album was released on September 9 with six tracks:

  • Mind
  • ALIVE
  • Sunday Morning
  • Play My Guitar
  • Thinkin’ Bout You
  • First Daylight

All five members of hrtz.wav contributed to writing and composing across the six tracks, though a full per-track breakdown of which member worked on which song was not available at the time of this report.

Release Times for International Fans

‘The Second Wave : MOMENTUM’ came out at 6 p.m. KST on September 9. For Southeast Asia, that time equaled 5 p.m. in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, and 4 p.m. in Thailand, Vietnam and western Indonesia.

Latin American fans received the album earlier in the day. It arrived at 6 a.m. in Brazil and Argentina, 4 a.m. in Peru and Colombia, and 3 a.m. in Mexico City on September 9. North American release times were 5 a.m. Eastern and 2 a.m. Pacific the same day.

No tour dates for Southeast Asia, Latin America or North America were confirmed in the announcements reviewed for this report.

Five Months From Debut to a 129% Sales Jump

hrtz.wav officially debuted on April 8, 2026, with the EP ‘The First Wave.’ The band’s five members won their positions through Mnet’s band competition ‘Steal Heart Club’ before forming the group.

‘The Second Wave : MOMENTUM’ arrived about five months after that debut. The 60,000-copy first-week total and the streaming increases documented across Spotify Korea and YouTube Music mark measurable gains over the debut period, based on the sales and streaming data reported through September 17, 2026.
