‘BORN DIRE’ Wins Its Second Trophy in Two Days
ALPHA DRIVE ONE (알파드라이브원) took first place with “BORN DIRE” on the September 2 episode of “Show Champion.” The song beat out competition from BIGBANG, NCT 127, NEXZ and SF9 for the win. It was the second trophy for “BORN DIRE” in as many days, following a win on “The Show” on September 1.
The back-to-back wins bring ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s career music-show total to six trophies. The group debuted in January 2026 and has kept winning through its second release, showing that the demand from its debut carried over.
What ALPHA DRIVE ONE Performed and Sang for the Encore
During the Show Champion broadcast, ALPHA DRIVE ONE performed two songs: “Diamond Hour” and “BORN DIRE.” After the win was announced, the group returned to the stage for a winner’s encore, performing “BORN DIRE” once more for the audience in Goyang.
The Numbers Behind the Win
The trophies followed a strong sales week for “UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST.” The album sold 1,139,747 copies on Hanteo during August 24–30, its first week of tracking. That number pushed ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s combined album sales past two million copies total.
For comparison, the group’s debut release, “EUPHORIA,” sold about 1.45 million copies in its first week and earned four music-show trophies. The second album did not reach that same first-week number, but it still cleared 1.13 million copies and added two more trophies on top of the four from debut.
Japan Streaming and Album-Chart Results
“UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST” also reached No. 2 on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking in Japan. On the streaming side, “BORN DIRE” reached No. 1 on LINE MUSIC’s K-POP Top 100 chart.
What Is on ‘UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST’
The album contains seven tracks: “BORN DIRE,” “Diamond Hour,” “One More Time,” “Talk to me,” “OMG!,” “Good Life” and “WELCOME home.” All members of ALPHA DRIVE ONE took part in writing the lyrics for “WELCOME home,” the closing track on the album.
What International Fans Should Know Next
ALPHA DRIVE ONE is scheduled to release “UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST” as its first U.S. physical release on October 2, 2026. The release follows the group’s appearance at KCON LA 2026, giving North American fans a physical copy to buy after seeing the group live.
For fans in Southeast Asia, the album’s original August 24 release at 6 p.m. KST landed at 5 p.m. in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. It was 4 p.m. in Jakarta, Bangkok and Hanoi.
For fans following from the Americas, that same release moment was 5 a.m. Eastern Time and 2 a.m. Pacific Time in the United States and Canada. In Latin America, it was 3 a.m. in Mexico City, 4 a.m. in Lima and Bogotá, and 6 a.m. in São Paulo and Buenos Aires.
Editor’s Take
A second release is the first test of whether debut demand holds. The first-week figures above show a drop of roughly a fifth from the debut (about 1.45 million to 1.14 million copies), but the album still cleared one million, added two trophies to the four from the debut and pushed combined sales past two million. On these numbers the demand largely carried over. One release is not a trend, so the next comeback is the better comparison.
