Why the Timing Matters During the CHOOM Tour
BABYMONSTER performs at Indonesia Arena in Jakarta on October 17 at 6:30 p.m. WIB, with tickets sold through Tiket.com. That show lands exactly six days before the October 23 reveal. The gap places the mystery announcement right after the group wraps a major Southeast Asian tour stop, though nothing confirms the Jakarta concert itself will include any preview of the new project.
For fans in the Americas, the October 23 date arrives before YG Entertainment has announced detailed stops for the CHOOM tour’s planned North American, South American and European legs. That means fans in Brazil, Mexico, the United States and Canada now have a confirmed release date on their calendars while still waiting for confirmed concert dates in their own region.
BABYMONSTER’s Momentum Before the Reveal
CHOOM debuted at No. 35 on the U.S. Mediabase Top 40 chart for the July 19-25 tracking period. YG Entertainment confirmed this was BABYMONSTER’s first entry on a U.S. mainstream radio chart, a different kind of recognition than the group’s earlier Billboard Global 200 entries.
The group’s debut track SHEESH had entered the Billboard Global 200 at No. 87 back in 2024, with the BABYMONS7ER mini album selling 401,287 copies in its first week. More recently, BABYMONSTER drew 90,000 attendees across two sold-out concerts at Kyocera Dome Osaka on September 22 and 23, according to allkpop.
What Is Confirmed and What Is Still Unknown
Only a few facts are locked in: the date, the time and the existence of a teaser. Everything else remains open.
- Confirmed: October 23, 2026, 1 p.m. KST reveal.
- Confirmed: BABYMONSTER’s prior Korean release was CHOOM, out May 4.
- Unconfirmed: whether October 23 brings a single, an album or another format.
- Unconfirmed: title, tracklist or any member lineup changes for the new content.
CHOOM World Tour Status by Region
The CHOOM world tour now spans 30 concerts across 18 cities, covering Asia, Oceania, South America, North America and Europe, per YG Entertainment’s September 24 update. The confirmed Asian route includes the Kyocera Dome Osaka dates already completed and the upcoming Jakarta show on October 17.
Detailed city-by-city dates for the North American, South American and European legs had not been announced as of the cited reports. Fans in those regions can confirm their tour stop is on the schedule, but specific venues and dates are still pending from YG Entertainment.
